The horse sale is a little less than two weeks away. Blade will be sold to a new loving home and Pete will return to his pasture as a research pony.
Pete is doing so much better and has gained quite a bit of weight. I'm also doing a ton better with my knee. This means that I have had the opportunity to start working with Blade again to finish his training up before the sale. He still has a lot of training before he becomes a great horse, but he is young and has plenty of time to be a horse before he starts working as a show horse or doing something else wonderful.
I wish I had more time to spend with Blade. I wish that I had the time and money to call him my own but it's not a possibility. Not everything is perfect about my horse class. Not everyone does things in the same way that I do. But it's okay because I have learned that much more from the experience. I'm extreamly lucky to have had the opportunity to put my equine knowledge to the test. I probably wouldn't have gotten it if I had chosen to go to an Arizona school.
All good things come to an end but that's okay because I always learn something from them that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
